The beginnings

Our story begins when Ayhan Akman decided to create a company focused on personal financial advice.

It was the mid-1990s, and to clients, often citizens of Turkish origin like the founder, we traditionally offered a typical Turkish steaming tea or coffee. Not just a cordiality, but a ritual that warmed the soul, making every financial discussion with our clients like a conversation between friends, even thousands of miles away from their homeland. This small gesture has become a symbol of our dedication to creating an environment where one feels at home, a place where financial advice becomes a personal and meaningful conversation. And today, even as we embrace technological innovation, we carry on this tradition with a desire to make every interaction with us a chapter of human connection, a journey together through the intricacies of the financial world.

Akman Finance has quickly gained the trust of a wider audience. Our speciality lies in making complex topics such as bank loan applications, interest rates and credit repayment plans accessible and familiar.

The growth

In 2000, Ilhan Akman joined Akman Finance, initially to support his brother Ayhan. His dedication and expertise quickly propelled our company to success. In 2015, Ilhan became the CEO, bringing innovative and solid leadership. In the meantime, Ayhan, founder of Akman Finance, dedicated himself to new projects, always maintaining a collaborative relationship with the company. This transition has helped to consolidate and stabilise the company over the years, positioning us as a trusted name in the world of personalised private credit advice.

Merging with Credaris

In 2022, Akman Finance embarked on a new chapter, joining Credaris, a leading intermediary in the Swiss market. Founded in 2014 as a part company of Comparis.ch, over the years it has become the largest private credit broker in Switzerland and has been an independent company since 2022.

In addition to Akman Finance, the Credaris Group has also acquired other successful brokers in the Swiss landscape such as Milenia, CC Crédit Conseils and Cashmoney Swiss. Today, our group therefore comprises five of the leading private credit brokers in Switzerland.

Despite the change in ownership, Akman Finance retains its family management and advisory team that has been carrying on its personalised, trust-based service philosophy since the early 2000s.
